Amid Coronavirus Pandemic, government took a front-seat in decision making first by introducing Imdad Insaaf Package by Punjab government and now a step forward for Construction Industry. PM Imran Khan stated this Thursday to announce PKR 100 billion package for the construction Industry to keep it afloat rather seeing the unusual downfall, especially for the daily wagers.

Necessary Incentives shall be given to the Construction Industry for prompt and better provision of job opportunities during this crisis-stricken time period” – PM Imran Khan.

Pakistan has always been prone to sensitive issues be it politics, socio-cultural or economical, but this 2020 Corona Virus gloom has proved to be a major setback, especially for the daily wagers in the lockdown situation. Moreover, the industry-specific reforms are appreciated in Pakistan where construction industry serves as a backbone to the whole Real Estate Industry as stated by Mr. Mohsin Sheikhani (Chairman ABAD Federation):

This is a great initiative by Prime Minister Imran Khan. He has given importance to our Construction Industry in this bleak time, which serves as a backbone to all the allied industries of Pakistan. Industry empowerment will eventually result in individual empowerment of all the workers and labours. This relief was much needed. I strongly believe that other pending strategic plans will be announced today having multiple housing concerns

Such a situation for third world country is a serious crisis situation. Why? Because in America they have to maintain a balance out their Economy and Coronavirus whereas, in Pakistan, we have to maintain balance between Coronavirus and Hunger, PM added.

He assured to support Industrial sector of Pakistan by giving them incentives. Similarly, commerce industry has listed down all the industries having any space to be reopened in the current situation.

Weaker segments of our society who are affected more than anyone, shall be catered in a proper manner for which a cash amount of PKR 12,000 each is to be given to 12 million poor families under ‘Ehsaas Program’ & in collaboration of Government’s Imdad Insaaf Package.

Mr. Abdul Razzaq Dawood – Advisor to PM ON Commerce, Textile Industries and Production stated, “Drawback of Local Taxes & Levies (DLTL) had been buried under the pile of files which now, is re-opened by the PTI government & has decided to pay without any further delay to uplift our business community.

Let’s not lose faith in efforts done by the Government of Pakistan and pray for all mankind!
