Rawalpindi: According to a news report, Frontier Works Organization (FWO) started construction of the Daducha Dam project site.

Assistant Commission (AC) Assistant Saddar Mehar Ghulam Abbas Haral and Small Dam Association officials visited the project site to witness the launch of the development project.
A large team of security personnel has been sent to the project site following instructions received from Rawalpindi Commissioner (retired) Captain Mohammad Mehmood.
Before the development work began, the relevant authorities announced their decision to construct a diversion (flow pipe) and demolition in the first phase of dam construction.

It is worth mentioning here that the Punjab government had issued its approval for the release of funds for development work at the dam in December. According to reports, the project is expected to be completed at a cost of PKR 6.429 billion.
