The revised budget of Rs 49.5bn is approved for LDA City

For the early completion of LDA City, a revised budget of Rs 49.54 billion has been approved by the Lahore Development Authority.

Also, at the meeting, the governing body approved a revised PC-1 of the project.

Those present were informed about various projects by the representative of the department.

It was reported that most of the funds allocated will be used to purchase land for the 200-foot-wide Chenab Road, which will connect the Jinnah sector to the Ferozepur road near the Lahore ring road.

Under the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme, the Board of Directors of the Office also approved the appointment of consultants for the construction of 35,000 apartments in the LDA City.

Considering this, a committee was established under the leadership of a member of the Board of Directors, engineer Riaz Qureshi, to assess the proposals submitted by the consultants.

Besides, the authority announced, financial and technical bids for the construction of apartments will be offered.

The department’s engineering corps was assigned the role of housing and infrastructure development.

On the other hand, negotiations with the Administration of the Chiniot Housing Association for the purchase of land on LDA Avenue 1 were also approved by the board of directors.

LDA Avenue 1 will consist of approximately 1,555 Kanals of land.
