Talking about the development, an LDA spokesman said the decision was made to make the process easier for citizens and shorten the time it takes to transfer ownership.

Under the updated rules, the LDA will recognize and accept Family Registration Certificates (FRC) issued by NADRA to transfer ownership to the legal heirs of the deceased. Obtaining certificates of succession takes much longer and is issued by the court after due process.
