Rs. 55 Billion spend by CDA for Development Projects in Islamabad

PM Imran Khan was informed that the CDA would use Rs. 55 billion, raised in auctions for various development projects in Islamabad. Real estate auctions were held in July and September, which brought significant profits to the CDA.

It was handed over to the Prime Minister during the weekly meeting of the National Coordinating Committee on Housing, Reconstruction and Development. Minister of Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Malik Amin Aslam, Governor of Sindh Imran Ismail, Dr Shahbaz Gul, Lieutenant General (right) Asim Salim Bajwa, Governor of State Bank Reza Baker and Head of Naya Housing Authority, Pakistan, Lieutenant General (Anwar Ali) and all of the other senior officials, are present at the meeting. In contrast, the senior secretaries attended the meeting via video link.

The Chairman of the Community Development Authority briefed the Prime Minister on ongoing development projects in the federal capital, the two previous auctions, the progress made on Islamabad’s new master plan, and steps being taken to revitalize construction activities in the city. The briefing also included the progress made in CDA automation.

Various projects have been reportedly completed so far, including G-7, G-8, Pedestrian Bridges, Burma Bridge, Park Enclave Bridge and the construction of additional blocks at the Metropolitan Hospital.
