Quaid-E-Azam Business Park to Be Developed as Model SEZ: CM Buzdar

Lahore: According to a news source, Kh. Jalaluddin Roomi, President Dera Ghazi Khan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, calls on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar to discuss the promotion of Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in DG Khan and other parts of South Punjab.

On the occasion, the CM disclosed the cottage business housing concept to facilitate the work and lodge in the province. He said, “this will accord self-employment, as well as the living facility, to the working women.”

Buzdar expressed that Quaid-e-Azam Business Park was being developed as a model SEZ. It provides necessary facilities including, water and electricity. Further, it will be completed soon because the MoU for the construction of interchange to approach the Motorway has been signed.

He further affirmed that a combine treatment plant and an underground power supply to be installed in Quaid-e-Azam Business Park in Muzaffargarh through a public-private partnership. He stressed using the full industrial potential to build industrial zones in Bahawalpur and Muzaffargarh on a fast-track basis.

He said that the government is concerned about promoting trade and job opportunities for the local public. He also reiterated that the government is paying special attention to the underdeveloped areas of the country. moreover, facilitating the business community to enhance their businesses so that they may generate more jobs.

He endorsed PM Imran Kahn’s vision and expressed that the scope of almonries was being expanded to reach the far-flung areas. With the advancement of the facility, it will be a step towards the welfare state, he added.

Jalaluddin Roomi praised the government efforts and reiterate the business community sides with the government in efforts for the well-being of the common man. He further assured the full cooperation from their side. He discussed the recent project completion in Sindh, North Waziristan, Balochistan, and South Punjab. Similarly, special stipends were also awarded to needy students. Industries Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal, Secretary Industries, CEO PIEDMC and others were also present.

The CM Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar expressed that the PTI government is working on the agenda of development. He also said that the remote and neglected areas of Pakistan are the point of concern for the government in terms of advancement and development. For that reason, he said that the projects will not be installed only in major cities but also in underdeveloped areas as well. “I will continue to serve the masses and parliamentarians are also consulted in the development process” he added.
