Punjab government makes details for Uplift schemes and development projects public.

Lahore: The government of Punjab has shared details with the public over upcoming uplift schemes and projects of development that are underway in South Punjab. Moreover, they have announced the formation of an administrative unit for that region.

To this effect, the provincial executive has announced:

1.   Upgrading the status of Emerson College to that of a university.

2.   Construction for the new campus of MNS University of Engineering and Technology, Lar tehsil

3.   Construction for facilities for the making of wheelchairs, smart canes, and braille printing press

4.   Design approval for South Punjab secretariat

5.   Development of a Pilkhan Avenue on the 9.5 km of Northern Bypass by planting 900 Pilkhan trees.

6.   Financial help for advocates(lawyers) and the allocation of 30 kanals of land for the making of a judicial complex and a parking plaza.

7.   Relocating district jails outside the city.

8.   Relocation for specific markets outside the city.
