Lahore: according to a news source, on Monday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) sought an explanation from Lahore Development Authority (LDA) regarding the non-regularization of a private housing society.
Moreover, Muhammad Khan filed a petition and Chief Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan passed orders against the non-regularization of the Ferozepur City Housing Scheme by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA). DG LDA Ahmad Aziz Tarar and others appeared before the court at the start of proceedings. Further, a counsel for LDA told the court about the committee constituted for regularization of housing schemes. Furthermore, he informed about the meeting of the committee will hold on May 5.
Further, he talked about the survey which is completed and the matter sent to relevant authorities. Likewise, the council informed about the committee comprised of representatives of the P & D Department, Public Health Engineering and others. After hearing this the Chief Justice asked about the committee member. Also, the counsel of the petitioner raised questions on various committee members.
Furthermore, the chief justice noted that the Authority failed to perform. Therefore, he adjourned the hearing till May 6. Also, the chief justice asked DG LDA to appear at the next hearing and explain to the court about the meeting of the technical committee.
