The business community is being assured during the meeting conducted at Sindh Governor House by President Arif Alvi that the federal government is soon going to launch exclusive Infrastructure Development Projects in the industrial area worth 1.1 trillion.
Attendees, especially the businessmen made complain to the president about the money that has never been allocated from the Karachi package for various economic sectors and most importantly for the seven industrial zones. In addition to that, former President of KCCI (Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry) said that under the package, the missing link for the future development of Pakistan is the business community.
The president positively responded to the complaints and said that he was there to act as a mediator and to listen to the issues that the business community has faced and to help them by assuring what the government can do for them. He added that it is on the government’s priority list to resolve the issues faced by the business community. Moreover, he said that the federal government will continue to collaborate with businessmen in promoting their business and for the betterment of the city because Karachi is the main center for Pakistan’s economic activities. Finally, the business community was asked to submit the proposals for the upcoming development projects under the Karachi package.
