Land Record Centres Increases in One Year

LAHORE: The Punjab Land Record Authority has significantly increased the number of Land Record Centres in the last year to facilitate people.

Further, besides 246 Special Land Centres, the Land Record Services are being provided to the general public through more than 5,000 kiosks in collaboration with the Satellite Centre and other agencies.

According to a spokesperson for PLRA, record services were provided to over four million people in the last fiscal year 2020-2021, in which transfer services were provided to more than 1.2 million people.

Also, according to the spokesperson, PLRA deposited Rs12 billion to the national exchequer, thus, the total revenue from the Land Record Centre has been recorded as more than Rs22 billion.

This is an increase of 37 per cent over the previous financial year which is an expression of public confidence in the provision of services from land record centres. Furthermore, Punjab Land Record Authority Director-General Moazzam Iqbal Supra said that all possible steps were being taken to make the authority more efficient.
