ISLAMABAD: PM Imran Khan on Monday launched the country’s first instant digital payment system called ‘Raast’, which he said will help boost the formal economy of the country.
People living in Islamabad can now pay property taxes, water bills, and other bills/fees through CDA online banking and mobile banking procedures.
“In light of government initiatives and those of the CDA President, CDA is now available at a 1BILL with the support of 1Link,” the government said in a press release on Tuesday.
Clients can now pay EoDB fees through online internet banking and CDA mobile banking from home. All you have to do is go to the site and follow the given procedure.
To file a property tax return, citizens can use the prefix 122001 followed by the CDA property tax consumer number, while for water and related charges, they can use the 122002 number before the consumer CDA number after selecting the voucher 1BILL/invoice payment option.
The head of the CDA said that the main goal of this online payment method is to minimize the involvement of people to use it and to help citizens.
“This initiative is part of a massive CDA automation plan. It will also help achieve transparency,” adding that the CDA, together with citizens, will have a full account of the fees/bill paid to ensure transparency for both parties.
