ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government has announced the launch of construction and developmental projects worth PKR 400 billion. In the last quarter of the current fiscal year is meant to open future prospects in the construction and real estate industry.
In a conference of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on housing, development, and construction headed by Prime Minister Imran Khan, mechanisms to boost development in Pakistan and to attract FDI, were under discussion.
The joint meeting attended by renowned builders and developers showed their enthusiasm about the uplifting of the sector by deciding upon scheduling regular meetings.
Under the PKR400 billion initiative umbrella, PKR145 billion is dedicated to houses and apartment construction that is to commence on October 20.
The government further has plans to introduce and institutionalize the mortgage system to assist in the expansion of the developmental circles and incorporate maximum buyers and investors inside the loop.
The rebound of the construction sector is aimed at kick-starting the economy and generate revenue and employment in Pakistan.
