The name of the Firdous Market Underpass has been changed to the Abdul Sattar Edhi Underpass, and according to the official Facebook page of LDA, Ahmed Aziz Tarar – the director-general of LDA has issued notice to finish the construction of Abdul Sattar Edhi Underpass or the Firdous Market Underpass as soon as possible. The last date to complete the construction work of the underpass given by DG is November 19, 2020.
According to the disclosed details, all associates of the civic agency’s engineering team, including the chief engineer of the LDA were ordered to remain in place until completion of the project.
Aziz Ahmed Tarar – the director-general of LDA has given orders while doing a visit to the construction site of Abdul Sattar Edhi Underpass (Firdous Market Underpass). He restated that this pioneering initiative by the current government will make travel easier for travelers. He said there was no reason further to delay the completion of the Abdul Sattar Edhi Underpass. Moreover, he enforced that the project must be completed on time and without compromising the construction’s quality.
Furthermore, the General Directorate of the local administration has authorized the placement of additional labor to guarantee the project’s completion on time. He also pointed to the need to accelerate the project’s horticultural work, in addition to completing asphalt and drainage construction.
