KARACHI: The SBP (State Bank of Pakistan) has opened a portal to address customer concerns and complaints and is attempting to avail of a government-subsidized affordable housing scheme.
The Prime Minister, chairing a meeting of the National Coordinating Committee for Housing, Reconstruction and Development, expressed his consent to the launch of the portal.
The Prime Minister noted the development of the portal as a broad guidance mechanism for people interested in benefiting from the scheme.

The redressal mechanism includes an active IT portal that is maintained by Commercial banks and SBP staff to address the challenges of affordable and low-cost housing finance.
The pioneering initiative is said to target low- and middle-income segments that often find it difficult to reach the financial sector.
