LDA (Lahore Development Authority) has given approval for the New Land Use Rules and Regulations. Here are noticeable features given by LDA in the commercialization policy.
- Build the commercial zone in the area of 24 Kanal – 200 Kanal
- Plant industries in specific regions for business and industrial growth
- To expand the business area, the building site vacant lot can also be joined to it
- Build community clubs, hospitals, and schools in residential zones
- One can even pay installments now in three years instead of two
- if the commercialization fee is made in a one go with a single installment then a benefit will be given by reducing the commercialization fee by 5%.
- To promote and encourage welfare programs, NGOs and other charity or welfare organizations are allowed to not to pay any commercialization fee
- Even those professionals who start their professional working place like clinic or school in their 25% of covered property areas will also not pay any commercialization fee
- The owners of the property should take full advantage of this policy within this year in order to solve any litigation case related to the commercialization fees
- For business and industrial purposes in Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahab, and Kasur, the roads are made almost 20 feet wide. Moreover, the release from giving the NOC from NEPA OR WASA is also given.
