LAHORE: According to a news report, Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar met today with Italian Ambassador Andreas Ferrarese. During the meeting, he invited Italian investors to invest in the province’s SEZs (special economic zones).
According to the details disclosed, Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar said that seven (Special Economic Zones) SEZs have already been notified and that 13 more special economic zones SEZs will soon be created. He assured the Italian ambassador that investors interested in special economic zones will get maximum opportunities. He added that there are good relations between Italy and Pakistan so they should exchange trade delegations to give more strength to this relationship.

The Italian Ambassador agreed to create a favourable environment for the business community and demonstrate the interest of Italian businessmen in investment opportunities that will increase collaboration with the government of Punjab.
In addition, the Prime Minister announced that new tourism facilities are being developed and the Walled City of Lahore (WCLA) is expanding to cover the entire province. He said that the walled city is soon returning to its original form.
