ISLAMABAD: Under special protocols, 270 Chinese technicians have been allowed to provide their expertise for the Suki-Kinari Hydropower Project being built alongside the Kunhar River in KPK Province of Pakistan.
Technicians arrived from Chengdu via air and the Civil Aviation Authority made special arrangements to welcome the delegate. It was made sure that they were tested for corona.
The Suki Kinari HPP is an under-construction run-of-the-river hydropower project located on the Kunhar River in the Kaghan Valley of Mansehra District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The project is designed to generate 870 megawatts power and is all set to be completed in 2022. For economic recovery and industrial development of Pakistan, this hydropower project carries prime importance.
