Islamabad: According to a news source, on Thursday, the local court handed over four Capital Development Authority (CDA) officials to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
Further, 10 CDA officials booked by the FIA in charge of fraudulent allotting a plot in I-11. According to news sources, the agency arrested four officials and produced them before the court. The court sent them on a four day-remand.
Furthermore, they said that before registering the FIR in April 2021, the agency initiated an inquiry in which come out that the officials fraudulently allotted a plot in I-11/2. Moreover, according to the FIR, plot size 25×40, no 1701, fraudulently allotted in place of another plot in I-10/1.
Likewise, “during inquiry proceedings, it has been established that the whole file of the said plot was prepared/constructed in back dates. All the processes/procedures adopted in CDA was fraudulent, bogus and with mala fide intentions for pecuniary advantages” read the FIR.
According to FIR, the role of Deputy Director Irfan Ahmad, former Deputy Director-General Abdul Salam Shah and other employees of CDA will be determined during the investigation.
Moreover, the news sources also say that in the coming weeks, more FIRs will be registered against the CDA officials for seven plot’s fraudulent allotments. It was pointed out CDA security directorate.
“out of seven, FIR was registered against one fraudulent plot,” said a source. Further, the scam came to the surface in august last year. It happened when the security directorate of CDA confiscated seven plot transfer from the One Window Operation Centre of the civic agency.
Consequently, the security directorate initiated an investigation and found the files bogus. Then the CDA referred the case to FIA for further investigation.
