ISLAMABAD: On Thursday, PM Imran Khan received a briefing from the top trustees of Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on several urban development projects.
The head of the KKE trustees informed the audience about the general plans of eleven large cities in the province. He said master plans are being prepared for eight tribal areas. He said that Rs 242 bn has been given for various provincial urban development projects, and Rs 61 billion has already been spent by December 2020.
According to an official statement, Sindh’s secretary-general briefed the meeting on the provincial development projects, but “the prime minister expressed dissatisfaction with this briefing.”
The CDA chairman informed about various construction projects in the E-11 sector in Islamabad. The meeting participants were informed that separate construction laws have been developed in this sector and that the postponed projects will soon be started.
Earlier, the Prime Minister, during a meeting with the Chief Minister of the KP, Mahmoud Khan, instructed the district government to ensure sufficient availability of goods for daily use by the masses in the area.
In addition, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the KPK government for measures to ensure food security.
Moreover, during the meeting, Mr. Khan called on the Pakistani film and drama industries to create high quality production to deliver young people with Ertugrul-like alternatives and other related great content.
Imran Khan further stated, “If the Pakistani drama and film industry offers high-quality production, it will not only develop, but also provide youth with a standardized glamorous content, which will be greatly welcomed.”
The meeting was also attended by the Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Shahryar Afridi, and representatives of the Pakistani and Turkish film industries.
