ISLAMABAD: In January 2021, the Security Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) registered a total of 227 new construction companies out of 2,101 new ones.
Almost 98% of businesses register online, with 34% of all businesses registering in one day.

The Pakistani Securities and Exchange Commission also said the number of registered companies is 10% higher than in the same month in previous years. As for the other sectors that attracted the most companies, 314 companies were of trade and information technology – 269 from construction, services and related sectors – allied and services sectors attracted 188 companies, and 79 companies are registered in the e-commerce sector.

The SECP also added that their business centre in Islamabad recorded 24% growth after registering 837 companies in January 2021.
